Semarang, 23 April 2024 – Faculty of Law Diponegoro University held a graduation ceremony and graduation ceremony for doctor of law program, master of law program, master of kenotariatan program, and bachelor of law program period 2 in 2024. The ceremony was held offline at the Convention Hall of the Central Java Great Mosque and was attended by graduates and their families, lecturers, and staff.
A total of 255 prospective graduates of the undergraduate law program passed the ceremony. Meanwhile, as many as 48 prospective graduates of the master of law program, 108 prospective graduates of the master of kenotariatan program and 7 prospective graduates of the doctor of law program also received degrees at the event. One of the representatives of the graduates, Anisyah Rani, who successfully completed her master of law program cum laude, expressed her gratitude to all those who had supported her during the study process.
The graduation procession was symbolically carried out by transferring the toga strap from the left side to the right side by the Dean of the Faculty of Law as a sign of official recognition of the graduates, as well as providing academic transcripts. The event was also enlivened by art performances from the students. In addition, students of the doctor of law program, master of law program, master of kenotariatan program also gave mementos to the Faculty of Law Undip. Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum. hopes that the graduates will become agents of change who are able to make a positive contribution to society and the nation, as well as uphold the values of justice, integrity, and truth in their future legal practice.

The Faculty of Law Undip held an inauguration ceremony for the Woerjanto, S.H. Building on Friday (19/04/2024). Attended by the Rector, Vice Rector, Deputy Head of Undip Planning and Development Agency, Deans in Undip, Head of Study Program, Secretary of Study Program in Undip Faculty of Law, representatives of the family of the late Bp. Woerjanto, S.H., and other invited guests. The event began with a prayer together as a form of gratitude to God Almighty for His abundance of grace, so that the construction process of this building can run smoothly and benefit FH Undip.
At this event there was a ribbon cutting procession by Undip Rector Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. and Dean of Undip Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum. Witnessed by invited guests and family representatives. Followed by the first speech by Mr. Rizky Setiawan as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) who reported the completion of the construction of this archive building.
In his remarks, the Dean of FH Undip expressed his gratitude for the presence of invited guests at the inauguration of the Woerjanto, S.H. Archives building. The use of the name Woerjanto, S.H. is a form of respect for his services and efforts for the Faculty of Law Undip. The 2nd and 3rd floors will be used for archives and warehouses, while the 1st floor is for the cafeteria.
Followed by remarks from the Undip Rector, Prof. Yos said that the late Mr. Woerjanto, S.H. was an Indonesian freedom fighter, who fought the Japanese invaders, he was also a figure who loved the country, and was also the former Mayor of Semarang. In every lecture he always instills the values of honesty and simplicity. With this archive building, it is hoped that it can provide great benefits for the Faculty of Law Undip. The last speech was delivered by a representative of the family, by Dr. Dra. Sri Busi Lestari. She expressed her deepest gratitude to all leaders of Diponegoro University and endless gratitude for His grace, for a tribute to the late Bp. Woerjanto, S.H. which was made the name of the Undip Faculty of Law Archive Building. The existence of this archive building is also expected to inspire the entire academic community of FH Undip.
The inauguration ceremony was closed with the signing of an inscription by the Undip Rector and the Dean of FH Undip accompanied by the Vice Deans of FH Undip. Followed by a walking session to review the Woerjanto, S.H. building facilities by Undip leaders, FH Undip leaders and invited guests.

Semarang, April 17, 2024 – The Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip) celebrated the moment of Halal Bihalal with joy and togetherness. In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum., expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to gather in this blessed atmosphere. She emphasized the importance of maintaining the values of brotherhood and solidarity among fellow students, lecturers, and staff. Furthermore, K.H. Fauzi Arkan gave a tausiyah full of wisdom to the audience. In his lecture, he emphasized the values of togetherness, tolerance, and compassion in living everyday life. He also invited all participants to always increase their faith and piety to Allah SWT.
“We must always remember that togetherness and mutual help are the keys to success in achieving success in this world and the hereafter,” said K.H. Fauzi Arkan with enthusiasm.
The Halal Bihalal event then ended with a handshake and forgiveness session among all lecturers and staff as a sign of closer brotherhood. This event is not only a momentum of Eid al-Fitr with full of togetherness, but also a place to increase solidarity and unity among the entire academic community of the Faculty of Law Undip.

The Muslim Family Forum (FKM) in collaboration with the Faculty Student Activity Unit (UKM-F) Islamic Law Study Group (KSHI) and the Faculty Student Activity Unit (UKM-F) Coordinator of Islamic Activities (KKI) of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University carried out several agendas during the month of Ramadan, including breakfasting and tarawih prayers. The event was held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 in the hallway of Prof. Satjipto Rahardjo, S.H. Building.
The event began with Khataman Al Qur’an activities by UKM-F KKI. Then welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum. “Alhamdulillah, the series of agendas during the month of Ramadan 1445 H can be carried out smoothly, this activity is a routine activity during the month of Ramadan at the Faculty of Law,” added Prof. Retno in her speech.
The next event was the announcement of the winners of the competition followed by the awarding of prizes for the winners. Followed by donations for orphans.
Not only that, the opportunity to break the fast together will be a long-awaited moment, where the bonds of togetherness and solidarity are more closely intertwined. After that, Muslims prepare to perform maghrib prayers in congregation, followed by Isha and Tarawih prayers in congregation. All these activities are expected to strengthen the relationship between all community members, as well as increase the blessings in the holy month of Ramadan.

The Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University conducted an online Visiting Lecturer event on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024. The event, themed “Combating Violence Against Women: A Legal Perspective,” was held on the Zoom platform. The main speaker was Prof. Datin Dr. Raihanah Abdullah from the Department of Shariah and Law at the Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. The moderator for the event was Aisyah Ayu Musyafah, S.H., M.Kn, who facilitated discussions between the speakers and participants.
Prof. Raihanah emphasized during the event that violence against women is a serious problem that has been addressed both nationally and internationally. She stressed the importance of the law as a tool for eliminating violence against women and emphasized the need for a strong legal framework that is consistently enforced. By strengthening laws, ensuring access to justice, and promoting collaboration between legal and social services, we can create a safe and empowered future for women.
The event was engaging, with students and lecturers actively participating in question and answer sessions, exchanging opinions, and sharing experiences related to efforts against violence against women.

The Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University (Undip) organized a special event on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, where Dr. Victoria Nalule, a lecturer from the School of Law at Bradford University, United Kingdom, and CEO of NAM Energy, was invited to speak on “Critical Minerals in The Energy Transition”. This event was held online through the Zoom platform and was attended by students and lecturers. The topic was relevant to global issues in the energy industry, making the event interesting and informative.
The event concluded with a Q&A session where students and lecturers were able to discuss various aspects of the topic with Dr. Nalule. This was an essential step in expanding understanding and awareness of the challenges and opportunities associated with sustainable energy development in the future.
