UNDIP Faculty of Law Welcomes SMAN 2 Salatiga Study Visit, Equips 11th-Grade Students with Information on University Admission

SEMARANG – The Faculty of Law at Universitas Diponegoro (FH UNDIP) hosted a study visit from SMAN 2 Salatiga on Thursday (July 23, 2026) at 10:00 WIB. Held on the 3rd floor of Prof. Purwahid Patrik, S.H. Building (PKM Building) at the UNDIP Tembalang Campus, 150 students and 15 accompanying teachers attended the event.

The event began with opening remarks from the Deputy Principal for Public Relations at SMAN 2 Salatiga, Wiranto, S.Pd., M.Pd. In his address, he stated that the study visit was part of the school’s efforts to foster students’ character and interests through learning experiences outside the classroom.

“Schools today have a duty to encourage students to develop their character and interests beyond the classroom. We chose Universitas Diponegoro because of its recognized quality. We hope the students gain valuable insights and information to help prepare them for continuing their education at the university level,” he said.

Subsequently, the group was welcomed by the Human Resources Supervisor of FH UNDIP, Andi Susetyo, S.T., M.P.I. During his presentation, Andi provided information about Universitas Diponegoro, university admission pathways, and the profile of the UNDIP Faculty of Law.

He explained that this event was an ideal opportunity for 11th-grade students to begin preparing for the 2027 university admissions process.

“The 11th-grade students participating in today’s visit are prospective candidates for the 2027 university admission selection. We also congratulate SMAN 2 Salatiga on successfully placing 32 of its students through the SNBP and SNBT admission pathways. Universitas Diponegoro is currently ranked 251st globally, while the UNDIP Faculty of Law is one of the study programs with the highest number of applicants in Indonesia via the SNBP pathway,” he explained. Following the presentation, the event proceeded with the exchange of plaques as tokens of appreciation and mementos between the UNDIP Faculty of Law and SMAN 2 Salatiga, concluding with a group photo session.

The participants’ enthusiasm was evident during the Q&A session. Students actively asked various questions, ranging from inquiries about student dormitory facilities and the use of achievement certificates for the SNBP admission track to the organizers’ measures to prevent cheating (such as the use of impostors) during the SNBT exam.

Through this event, the UNDIP Faculty of Law hopes that students will gain a more comprehensive understanding of university life and the higher education admissions system, while also becoming more motivated to prepare to pursue higher education.
