Diponegoro University’s Faculty of Law Holds the 5th ICOLEG 2026, Highlighting Progressive Law for the Environment and Sustainable Energy.

The Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University once again held the 5th International Conference on Law, Economy, and Governance (ICOLEG) 2026. This international academic forum brings together academics, researchers, and legal practitioners from around the world. The event carried the overarching theme “Progressive Law to Environmental, Climate, and Energy Challenges: Promoting Sustainable and Equitable Law.”

The conference aimed to encourage the development of progressive law to address global challenges related to climate change, the environment, and sustainable energy. Sub-themes covered included Climate Governance and Public Policy, Climate Legal Enforcement, and Sustainable Energy, Economy, and Climate Justice.

ICOLEG 2026 featured several prominent international speakers, including Prof. Dr. Paramita Prananingtyas (Diponegoro University), Dr. The speakers are Prof. Panagiota Kotzamani (University of Sheffield, UK), Prof. Dr. Damilola S. Olawuyi (Hamad bin Khalifa University, Qatar), Dr. Bjorn-Oliver Magsig (Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand), and Prof. Dr. Salawati binti Mat Basir (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia).

The ICOLEG 2026 series of activities will begin with the opening of registration and submission of full papers from March 9 to May 4, 2026, followed by an editorial screening process until May 12, 2026. The scientific committee’s review process will run until June 30, 2026, with acceptance announcements on July 1–3, 2026. The conference will be held on July 23, 2026.

This event is open to presenters and participants from both Indonesia and abroad. The registration fee for national presenters is IDR 1,000,000, and for international participants, it is USD 80; national participants are charged IDR 800,000, and international participants are charged USD 65. Additionally, an article publication fee of EUR 108 is available, with the option to publish in reputable international proceedings indexed in Scopus.

Through ICOLEG 2026, the Faculty of Law of Diponegoro University hopes to contribute to the development of adaptive, solution-oriented legal science that addresses global issues, while strengthening international academic networks.
