In commemorating the 67th Anniversary of Diponegoro University (Undip), the Faculty of Law (FH) participated in the carnival and yell activities at the Tembalang campus on October 15, 2024 afternoon. This activity was attended by lecturers, education staff, and students, who together brought the spirit of togetherness and creativity.
FH Undip made a special appearance at the carnival. One of the highlights of FH is the creation of a mini replica of the Faculty of Law building, which illustrates their pride in the identity and history of the faculty. This replica was decorated with details that resembled the original building, attracting the attention of the carnival participants and spectators. The presence of this mini building is not only a symbol of identity but also shows FH’s contribution to the long journey of Diponegoro University over the past 67 years.
In addition, FH also carried a vegetable gunungan, a symbol full of philosophical meaning. Gunungan sayur symbolizes prosperity and blessings, an important symbol in Javanese culture. This participation shows the commitment of the Undip Faculty of Law to supporting the values of environmental sustainability and community welfare.
No less interesting, FH also introduced the results of their innovation in the form of compost fertilizer, which is processed by educational staff from organic waste generated in the campus environment. This compost fertilizer reflects the faculty’s commitment to environmental sustainability and environmentally friendly waste management. This is one of the real contributions of FH Undip in supporting the green campus movement launched by Undip. Not to mention Toca, the PKKMB mascot, was also present at this carnival activity along with the punokawan.
Not only in terms of creativity, FH also enlivened the activity with enthusiastic yells from carnival participants. These chants aroused the enthusiasm of all participants and added to the warmth of the carnival atmosphere. All parties, from lecturers to students, collaborated to show their cohesiveness and pride in the faculty.

On October 8, 2024, the Faculty of Law of Diponegoro University (FH Undip) will hold a National Seminar with the theme “The Urgency of Legal Practice with Spiritual Intelligence in Realizing a Criminal Justice System that Brings Happiness to the People.” This activity is part of the series of events for the 3rd National Conference (Munas) of the Alumni Family Association of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (IKAFH Undip), which is taking place in Room 304, Prof. Satjipto Rahardjo Building, Faculty of Law, Undip.
This seminar features prominent speakers in the field of criminal law who provide new perspectives and ideas on the importance of prioritizing spiritual intelligence in law enforcement practices. In his opening speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Undip, represented by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Dr. Aditya Yuli Sulistyawan, S.H., M.H., emphasized the importance of this seminar in highlighting the spiritual aspects of law enforcement that are often overlooked, yet have a significant impact on the well-being of society.
This seminar was attended by important figures, including:
- Prof. Dr. Asep Nana Mulyana, S.H., M.Hum, Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes at the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office, discusses the use of spiritual intelligence in the approach of prosecutors towards law enforcement that brings happiness to the people.
- Dr. Achmad Setyo Pudjoharsoyo, S.H., M.Hum, Supreme Court Justice of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, expressed his views on the efforts of the Supreme Court in reforming legal practices by utilizing spiritual intelligence towards the establishment of progressive law that brings happiness to society.
- Prof. Dr. Pujiono, S.H., M.Hum, a Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law of Diponegoro University, reviews the grim picture of criminal law enforcement in Indonesia.
- Dr. Ade Adhari, S.H., M.H., Executive Director of DECRIM IKAFH Undip, emphasizes the importance of legal reform based on spiritual intelligence in an increasingly complex world.
This seminar is moderated by Anggita Doramia Lumbanraja, S.H., M.H., a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Undip, who guides the interactive discussion with the participants. This event was also warmly welcomed by Dr. Ahmad Redi, S.H., M.H., the General Chair of IKAFH Undip, as well as Chintia Sriwijaya, S.H., M.Kn, the Chair of the 3rd Munas IKAFH Undip, who also delivered remarks during the opening of the event.
In addition to the national seminar, this event is broadcast live through the YouTube platform on the official IKAFH Undip channel, as well as via Zoom Meeting, allowing alumni and legal practitioners from all over Indonesia to participate.
This seminar successfully provided deep insights into the importance of spiritual intelligence in law enforcement. The speakers emphasized that in facing various challenges of law enforcement in Indonesia, an approach that solely focuses on formal legal aspects often falls short of achieving substantive justice and the welfare of the community. Therefore, spiritual intelligence can be an important element to complement a more humane, just law enforcement process, ultimately capable of bringing happiness to the people.
This event is expected to make a positive contribution to promoting legal reform in Indonesia, particularly in the field of criminal law, as well as strengthening the synergy between alumni and the academic community of the Faculty of Law at Undip in addressing legal issues in the future.
