Semarang, March 31, 2026 — The Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University (FH Undip) welcomed a visit from SMAN 5 Surabaya as part of a campus outreach activity. This was the first visit the Faculty received after the Eid al-Fitr holiday. SMAN 5 Surabaya, known by the acronym “Smalabaya,” is one of the leading schools in Surabaya, with a total of 190 students and 10 chaperones. The group was warmly welcomed by Undip Faculty of Law staff, including Deka Harry Prabowo and Udin, who showed them around.
The event began with a campus tour of the Undip Faculty of Law. During this session, students were introduced to various facilities, including lecture halls, laboratories, courtrooms, and the library. Next, all participants were directed to the Fiat Justisia Room in the Prof. Dr. Samiadji Soerotjaroko, S.H. Building. The event opened with a screening of a profile video of the Undip Faculty of Law, which provided an overview of the academic environment and student activities.
A welcome speech was then delivered by the representative of the Faculty of Law’s Human Resources Department, Andi Susetyo, S.T., M.Pi. In his remarks, he said, “Welcome to the Faculty of Law and thank you for your visit. We urge you to prepare yourselves as early as possible, as 11th grade is a crucial time for solidifying your major and ensuring you avoid any mistakes in the future.” Agus Widodo, M.Pd., a representative from SMAN 5 Surabaya, also explained the purpose of the visit. He explained that the visit aimed to provide students with insight into academic information, study programs, campus facilities, and admission opportunities at Diponegoro University. As a token of appreciation, the event continued with a plaque exchange and a group photo session.
Toward the main event, participants received presentations on Diponegoro University and the academic system at the Faculty of Law. The material was delivered by the Undip Faculty of Law Public Relations team, namely Umaira Hayuning Anggayasti, S.H., M.Kn. and Marzellina Hardiyanti, S.H., M.H. The presentation was interactive and informative, followed by a question-and-answer session that students enthusiastically participated in.
Through this activity, the students of SMAN 5 Surabaya will gain a clearer picture of the world of college, particularly at the Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University, so they can better prepare themselves for future educational choices.
