The Faculty of Law of Diponegoro University (FH Undip) hosted an observation study visit from Purwoharjo State High School, Banyuwangi, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM WIB. 260 students, accompanied by 18 teachers, attended the visit.
The event began with a tour of the Undip Faculty of Law campus and lecture buildings, including a visit to the library and various other academic support facilities. The tour was led by Heru Setyono, S.S., and Deka Harry Prabowo, who provided an overview of the Faculty of Law’s educational facilities and infrastructure.
The group then proceeded to the event center, the Fiat Justisia Room, Prof. Dr. Samiadji Soerotjaroko, S.H., 3rd Floor. The event began with a screening of the Undip Faculty of Law company profile video, which provided an overview of the Faculty’s profile, academic activities, and achievements.
Mr. Andi Susetyo, S.T., M.P.I., the Faculty of Law Human Resources Supervisor, then opened the event. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of choosing a study program early. “Grade 11 is the perfect time to start looking for a study program that aligns with your passion. Read a lot of literature and gather as much information as possible,” he said.
He also expressed his appreciation to the alums of Purwoharjo State High School, Banyuwangi, who were accepted to the Faculty of Law through the 2025 National Student Admissions Program (SNBP). “For seniors at SMAN Purwoharjo, many were accepted through the 2025 National Student Admissions Program (SNBP). Therefore, we are grateful to those who have paved the way and set an example for their younger siblings,” he added.
He also explained the various pathways to state universities, including the National Selection for Admission (SNBP), the National Selection for Admission (SNBT), and the Independent Exam (Regular, SBUB, and IUP). “In the UM SBUB pathway, the main focus is achievement, such as first, second, and third place at international, national, and provincial levels. Therefore, improve your achievements from an early age,” he emphasized.
The Principal of Purwoharjo State High School, Banyuwangi, also delivered a speech, expressing his appreciation for the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip). “Thank you for the warm welcome. This 12-hour journey didn’t take us to a mediocre school, but to the right choice. Although we come from a coastal area, we have a progressive spirit that strives to advance. May SMAN Purwoharjo spread throughout Indonesia,” he said.
This was followed by the handover of plaques as mementos and tokens of appreciation for the visit of Purwoharjo State High School, Banyuwangi, to the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University.
As the core agenda of the activity, the students received an in-depth presentation on Diponegoro University and the academic system of the Faculty of Law Undip, delivered by the Public Relations Team of the Faculty of Law Undip, namely Benedictus Satryo Wibowo, S.H., M.Kn., and Ardina, S.H., M.Kn. This presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the academic process, curriculum, and student life at the Faculty of Law Undip.
