Diponegoro University’s Faculty of Law Holds Graduation Ceremony and Briefing for Prospective Graduates of Period I, 2026

Semarang, February 3, 2026 — The Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (FH Undip), held a Graduation Ceremony and Briefing for Prospective Graduates of Period I, 2026, on Tuesday (February 3, 2026) in the Student Activity Center (PKM) Hall, 3rd Floor, Prof. Purwahid Patrik, S.H. Building, Tembalang Campus. This event was attended by 128 prospective graduates from various educational levels as part of the final stages before graduation.

The graduation ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, as well as prospective graduates and their mentors from the Doctor of Law, Master of Law, Master of Notary, and Bachelor of Law study programs. The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum, officially opened the event.

The academic report was delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Aditya Yuli Sulistyawan, S.H., M.H. In his report, he stated that the total number of prospective graduates is 128, consisting of 79 undergraduate (S1) graduates and 49 postgraduate graduates. The postgraduates include 11 prospective Doctor of Laws graduates, 26 prospective Master of Laws graduates, and 12 prospective Master of Notary Program graduates.

Dr. Aditya also explained that the shortest study period for the Bachelor of Laws program was 4 years and 2 months. In comparison, the longest was 6 years and 4 months.
“Today is the beginning of your service, not the end of your struggle. Bring your legal knowledge with integrity, conscience, and courage,” he advised the prospective graduates.

As part of the graduation ceremony, the Faculty of Law (FH) of Diponegoro University (Undip) presented awards to the best prospective graduates from each study program. The awards were given directly by the Dean of FH Undip, accompanied by the Vice Deans and Heads of Study Programs, as a token of appreciation for the graduates’ academic achievements and dedication.

In addition to the graduation ceremony, the event also included a briefing for prospective graduates delivered by FH Undip alumna, Mrs. Ammy Amalia Fatma Surya, S.H., M.Kn., Deputy Regent of Cilacap. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of education and the role of law in all aspects of life.
“All aspects of life inevitably intersect with the law. Indonesia needs educated human resources. Strive with total commitment and don’t do things half-heartedly,” she said.

Meanwhile, in her remarks, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati emphasized the importance of integrity, mental resilience, and moral values ​​for Faculty of Law graduates. “FH graduates must possess a strong mentality. Integrity is crucial because the law is a matter of faith. Hold on to your religion and the prayers of your parents, who will always accompany you,” he emphasized.

The event concluded with the presentation of plaques to the speakers and a group photo session with the faculty leadership, speakers, and prospective graduates. Through this activity, FH Undip hopes that the graduates will be ready to enter the professional world by upholding the values ​​of integrity, professionalism, and social responsibility, as dignified legal professionals who contribute to society, the nation, and the state.
