A delegation of students from the Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University (FH Undip), M. Fadhlan Kholid (class of 2023), has achieved an impressive accomplishment at the national level. In the Appreciation Event for Ambassadors and the 14th National GenRe Creativity Jamboree in 2024, organized by the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) in Bali, Fadhlan successfully won 1st Place in the GenRe in Action #THISISMATTER category and 3rd Place in the GenRe Exhibition category.
This event is a prestigious occasion held annually, aimed at showcasing the creativity, innovation, and contributions of the younger generation in campaigning for issues related to population, adolescent reproductive health, and family development. GenRe ambassadors (Planned Generation) from all over Indonesia participate in this competition and have undergone a rigorous selection process at the provincial level.
Fadhlan’s achievement at this event demonstrates the quality and commitment of Undip’s Faculty of Law students to contribute to social and population issues in Indonesia. The entire academic community of the Faculty of Law at Undip expresses pride and gratitude for the achievements Fadhlan has attained. This success not only brings a good name to the Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University but also serves as an inspiration for other students to continue excelling in various fields, both academic and non-academic.
This achievement further strengthens the reputation of the Faculty of Law at Undip as one of the faculties capable of producing a young generation that is competent, creative, and socially aware. A delegation of students from the Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University (FH Undip) has once again achieved remarkable success on the national stage. This time, the team consisting of Dimas Aditya Ashari and Jesica Lestari, both students from the 2021 cohort, successfully secured 2nd place in the National Legal Essay Competition of ALSA Juridische Week 2024. This prestigious competition is organized by the Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) Local Chapter of Udayana University in September 2024.
The competition, which was participated in by law students from various universities in Indonesia, serves as a platform for the participants to hone their skills in analyzing and writing essays on current legal issues. This competition emphasizes innovation, critical analysis, and solutions to the legal issues faced by society.
In the competition, Dimas and Jesica wrote essays with a deep and critical theme regarding the legal issues that are currently being widely discussed in Indonesia. Both were able to present relevant and solution-oriented ideas with strong arguments, successfully capturing the attention of the jury.
This success is not only a source of pride for both delegations but also for the Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University as a whole. This achievement demonstrates the quality of education and mentoring at the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, which continues to produce outstanding students, both at the national and international levels.
In addition, this success also serves as motivation for other students of the Faculty of Law at Undip to continue excelling and contributing to the field of law. Dimas and Jesica hope that their achievements can inspire other students to actively participate in various academic competitions and broaden their horizons in the field of law.
With this achievement, the Faculty of Law at Undip further strengthens its reputation as one of the leading law faculties in Indonesia that consistently produces outstanding graduates. Semarang, September 17, 2024 – The Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University held a General Lecture featuring Dr. Sia Chin Chin from Taylor’s University, Malaysia, as a guest speaker. The event taking place in the Fiat Justicia Room is part of the Visiting Lecturer program, with a relevant and in-depth theme: “Achievement of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being for Adolescents – How Law Can Help?”
The event was attended by students from the Faculty of Law as well as several lecturers who were enthusiastic about the material presented by Dr. Sia, an expert in public health law and food regulation. (food law). In the general lecture, Dr. Sia Chin Chin discussed the challenges of achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, particularly concerning the well-being and health of adolescents, with a focus on how the role of law can contribute to promoting healthy eating habits among teenagers.
One of the main topics raised is the effectiveness of the proposed menu labeling regulations in private schools in promoting healthy eating habits among adolescents. Dr. Sia questioned, “Will the proposed regulatory regime be effective in promoting a healthy diet among adolescents in private schools using menu labeling?”” He also highlighted the importance of legal justification in implementing menu labeling regulations based on both local and international law.”
This public lecture received positive feedback from participants who appeared enthusiastic in asking questions and actively engaging in the discussion. Dr. Sia is expected to continue various lectures, seminars, and other workshops during her visit to FH Undip.

Semarang, September 17, 2024 – The Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University (FH Undip) held a Welcoming Ceremony to greet the arrival of Dr. Sia Chin Chin from Taylor’s University, Malaysia. The event taking place today in the Meeting Room of the Prof. Satjipto Rahardjo Building at the Faculty of Law, Undip, was attended by the faculty leadership and lecturers.
The arrival of Dr. Sia Chin Chin, known as one of the experts in the field of food law and public health, is part of the Visiting Lecturer program organized by the Faculty of Law at Undip. This program aims to enhance international academic collaboration and provide new insights to students and faculty regarding developments in global law.
In his speech, the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Law at Undip, Dr. Aditya Yuli Sulistyawan, S.H., M.H., expressed great appreciation for the presence of Dr. Sia. “We have been eagerly anticipating Dr. Sia Chin Chin’s arrival on our campus.” “We believe that his expertise will make a significant contribution to our students, especially in facing legal challenges on the global stage,” said Dr. Aditya.
Dr. Sia expressed her enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and experiences with students and colleagues at the Faculty of Law of Undip. Additionally, the event also featured a discussion session between Dr. Sia and the lecturers regarding potential collaboration in legal research, student exchanges, and curriculum development.
The Visiting Lecturer Program by Dr. Sia Chin Chin is scheduled to take place over one week, during which she will deliver public lectures, seminars, and workshops focused on important themes in food law and public health.
