Diponegoro University’s Faculty of Law and the Semarang District Court, Class IA Special, officially established a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

The Faculty of Law of Diponegoro University (FH Undip) officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Semarang District Court, Class IA Special, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, concerning the implementation of education, research, and community service. The event took place at 1:30 PM WIB in the Main Courtroom of the Prof. Satjipto Rahardjo, S.H., Faculty of Law Building, Diponegoro University.

The signing of this PKS is a strategic step in strengthening synergy between higher education institutions and the judiciary to support the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This collaboration is expected to encourage improvements in the quality of legal education, the development of applicable research, and the implementation of community service with real impact.

The event began with the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya. Following this, remarks were delivered by the Dean of the Undip Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum. In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip), emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and judicial practice to produce law graduates who excel, possess integrity, and have a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of law enforcement in Indonesia.

The following remarks were delivered by the Head of the Semarang District Court, Class IA Special, Dr. Salman Alfarisi, S.H., M.H. He expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip). He hoped that this partnership would become a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as for tangible contributions from the court to support the development of legal science and improve the quality of human resources.

The event culminated in the signing of a Cooperation Agreement by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip) and the Head of the Semarang District Court, Class IA Special. The leadership witnessed the event, academic community of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip), and judges from the Semarang District Court, including Dr. H. Dedy Muchti Nugroho, S.H., M.Hum., Hadi Sunoto, S.H., M.H., Maryono, S.H., M.Hum., and Agung Iriawan, S.H., M.H. The event then continued with the presentation of souvenirs and plaques as a symbol of partnership and commitment to ongoing cooperation.

Through the signing of this MoU, the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip), and the Semarang District Court, Class IA Special, are expected to implement various collaborative programs on an ongoing basis, while simultaneously making a tangible contribution to the development of legal science and to legal services for the community.
