The Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University (FH Undip) held a pilgrimage and joint prayer at the graves of the Faculty’s founders on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. This activity was part of a series of events commemorating the 69th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law, as a gesture of respect and gratitude for the services of the founders and figures who have contributed to the Faculty’s development.
Before the pilgrimage, all participants attended a religious study and a joint prayer held at the Al-Hakam Mosque of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University. This study opened the series of events, serving as a spiritual endeavor and an expression of gratitude and prayer for the Faculty of Law’s predecessors.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.H officially opened the pilgrimage and joint prayer. The activity was attended by lecturers and administrative staff from the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip), and was conducted solemnly.
The pilgrimage was divided into three teams, each visiting several graves of former Faculty members in Semarang and the surrounding area. This division of teams ensured optimal visits to all graves targeted for the pilgrimage.
Team I, led by Mr. Nur Adhim, S.H., M.H., visited graves in the Ngaliyan area and its surroundings. Visiting the graves of the late Mr. Mulyo Putro, Mr. Budi Hermidi, Mr. Yasin Tasrif, Mr. Edy Sarwanto, Mr. Joko Triyanto, and the graves of Mr. Zubaedi and Mr. Hartono (where possible).
Team II, led by Mr. Indarja, S.H., M.H., visited the Bergota Cemetery, the Heroes’ Cemetery, and the Tegalsari Cantung Cemetery. At Bergota Cemetery, the team visited the graves of several prominent figures from the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip), including Prof. H. Sudarto, Prof. Ko Tjay Sing, Prof. Ronny Hanityo Soemitro, Prof. Purwahid Patrik, and several others. At the Heroes’ Cemetery, the team visited the graves of Prof. Muladi, Prof. F. Sukemi, and other prominent figures associated with the Faculty of Law. Meanwhile, at the Cantung Tegalsari Cemetery, the team visited the grave of Mr. Dadang Siswanto.
Team III, led by Mr. Muhyidin, S.Ag., M.Ag., M.H., and Mr. Sonhaji, S.H., M.S., visited the Undip Tembalang Cemetery and the Trunojoyo Tembalang Cemetery. At the Undip Tembalang Cemetery, the team visited the graves of prominent figures from the Faculty of Law, including Prof. Satjipto Rahardjo, Prof. Sri Rejeki Hartono, Prof. Nyoman Serikat Putra Jaya, Prof. Abdullah Kelib, and others. At the Trunojoyo Cemetery in Tembalang, the team visited the graves of Prof. Is. Susanto and several other prominent figures.
Through this pilgrimage and prayer, the academic community of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, prayed for their predecessors and commemorated their services and contributions in building and developing the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, to where it is today. This activity also served as a moment of reflection to emulate the values of dedication, integrity, and togetherness in continuing the development of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, into the future.
