The Faculty of Law of Diponegoro University hosted a Benchmarking and Academic Engagement Visit from Mindanao State University, Philippines, held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in the Main Meeting Room of the Prof. Dr. Satjipto Rahardjo, S.H. Building, Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University. This activity is part of the Faculty of Law’s commitment to strengthening internationalization, improving the quality of academic governance, and expanding its global network of educational and research collaborations.
The academic visit was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and delegates from Mindanao State University. In their opening remarks, the Faculty of Law leadership emphasized that benchmarking and academic engagement are strategic steps for sharing experiences, best practices, and innovations in law faculty management amidst the global challenges of higher education.
During the visit, several key agenda items were discussed in depth. Regarding infrastructure, the two institutions exchanged views on the development of learning support facilities and research spaces, as well as the use of information technology to support academic activities. Discussions regarding scientific journals focused on managing reputable journals, improving the quality of scientific articles, and opportunities for international publication collaboration.
Academic and curriculum issues were also a key focus, particularly the development of a curriculum aligned with global needs, the adoption of innovative learning methods, and the strengthening of graduate competencies. Furthermore, discussions regarding international programs opened opportunities for collaboration, including student and lecturer exchanges, joint research, joint publications, and the development of global classes. Through this Benchmarking and Academic Engagement Visit, the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip), hopes to establish a sustainable collaboration with Mindanao State University, which will have a tangible impact on continuously improving the quality of education, research, and the faculty’s international reputation.
